The deadline for New York City firefighters to get vaccinated was yesterday. Enforcement of the vaccine mandate is anticipated to begin Monday. Today, the New York Post is reporting that 26 FDNY firehouses are currently closed due to short staffing directly related to the vaccine mandate.
But the vaccine mandate is all about the public health, right?
New York – The FDNY shut down 26 firehouses across the Big Apple as of 7:30 a.m. Saturday because of staff shortages caused by the vaccination mandate, The Post has learned.

A VACCINE MANDATE APPEARS TO BE UNCONSTITUTIONAL
Forcing anyone to accept a vaccination or be forced to lose his or her livelihood appears to fall under the 8th Amendment.
The 8th Amendment states, “Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”
It can be argued that the firing of employees because they chose not to be vaccinated, is cruel and unusual punishment; that is the matter to be reversed or adjudicated.
Additionally, a portion of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment states, “No State shall make or enforce any law to deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law.”
An example of the “equal protection” clause is that the law exempts 600,000 postal workers.
Perhaps the most ridiculous anomaly is that unauthorized visitors AKA illegal immigrants are exempted from the vaccination requirement.

The lawyers supporting the clotshot mandate are claiming getting the shot is a choice, but choices have consequences. They claim because it is a condition of employment, and you choose not to get it, you can be fired.
